Lol. Maybe one day but the ground lasers are only capable of moving small pieces of debri around at present which is enough to avoid these pieces accidentally colliding with a satallite. They are not powerful enough to destroy or even move a satallite which is threatening the one you are trying to protect. Also putting a direct energy weapon on your satallite as a defence against satallites with robotic arms will still require a large energy source to fire.
