The recent issues with the rod mill are interesting. The rod mill was fully refurbished in late Dec'19 & according to the Dec'19 quarterly, would provide 20% mill throughput benefits. However, the ongoing issues with the refurbished rod mill has brought about a 25% reduction in mill throughput & are apparently due to 'past maintenance legacy issues', rather than 'legacy issues that weren't fixed during refurbishment'.
I wonder if the sulphide ore will be as problematic as the Williamson ore regarding rod mill performance?
I have a feeling there's going to be a lot more happening with the rod mill issues going forward that hasn't previously been included in the Stage (1) cost budget.
