So hx or not won't impact slab requirements but the build type will. For example brick veneer could have outer bricks done by hand or hx without change in slab if the timber or steel frame walls were to stay as the structural walls. If using brick as structural walls this may change slab requirements and isn't often the case in Victoria due to costs.
So to be competitive in Vic one consideration would be to simply put outer bricks up that are not structural.
