spp - when will i get my shares, page-6

re SPP issuance.I checked with the last SPP and that time it took ages before we were notified.The shareholders are a useful source of funds, but beyond that few companies have much interest in them.Wefarmers is perhaps an exception.I see Oz minerals 'regretted' not keeping their shareholders better informed.A bit late though now isn't it?I have been following Find8's ideas of 'valuation'.My idea is that a company is worth what someone else is prepared to pay.No more,no less.The share price is as close as one can get to that on a day by day basis isn't it.Another down to earth way is to compare a price paid for a comparable company.This is not so easy with gold companies as no-one is really sure just how much gold is down there.I reckon therefore that the share price is the best way to see how most people value the company.
