Last year Electro Optical Systems announced a new product for the detection and destruction of drones. EOS combined their remote weapon systems with an outsourced drone detection system. Given EOS is also Australian based and development took place during 2020 (covid), I felt confident DRO were the supplier of the drone detection equipment. The following from DRO in today’s announcement pretty much confirms it:
”During the quarter, DroneShield commenced initial production batches with an experienced defence manufacturing contractor in Australia (a fully Australian owned and rated medium size specialised electronics manufacturer), for some of its product lines.”
This is good news. EOS are very highly respected suppliers of military equipment with revenues in the billions and strong, well established connections within big spending military organisations. This collaboration could pay off very nicely!
