Like yourself and most likely everyone else here as well, I've been assessing and rethinking about my ADO holding and what I should/shouldn't do with it. Prior to 2021, I always thought I'd sell off a portion to fund the forever home, but as progress being made by the company and Covid-19 cases get out of hand globally, I thought...
Why now? After riding it from 4c to 28c back down to 1c. Why now? Just as we are about the make some significant progress that is going to completely transform the company, from a R&D cash burning company, to a global POC developer. Why would I want to sell X amount of shares right now to fund something, when that X amount of shares will be worth multiple of that in the matter of months. Or, when that X amount will come with dividends in the years to come that can fund my retirement.
And then I'd go on to weigh up, if I sell some now, to either fund a property or to invest in other companies, would ANY of those other investments give me as much blue sky potential as ADO? I personally can't think of one. Never mind how we were 1c in March 2020, but we were at about 24c about a month ago.
I still remember Afterpay has been the market darling for the past year and people have made a killing out of it, allowed many to retire early, but from memory, ADO has achieved the same gains (if not more) in roughly the same period, but no one talks about ADO, not until recently. IMO, our time to shine is coming, and my money is where my mouth is at.
