I topped my English class at school and the english teacher asked me would I take a shot at writing short stories based on the work I had done in class.
I did take him up on this and I wrote a series of short science fiction type stories called ''The Vanishing People''
I also supplied the animations that went with the stories. These were difficult to make compared with software that is available now.
I did not keep any copies of those short stories, unfortunately.
Quite a few people read these stories, and they did make some helpful comments to me
Unfortunately I did not go ahead with this as I was going to night college studying various subjects related to my job.
Six years of study doing that was a long haul.
After I finished the 6 years study the writing bug got me again and I started roughing out a romantic short story about an older man and a younger woman. I thought I had come up with a unique angle on this.
It took me a year to rough this out but I was struck by the 'is this good enough' bug and the fact that I was working away from home and I threw the manuscript in the dumpster bin at work.
Just as a relaxation thing I sometimes write poetry.
My thoughts are everyone should sit down and write some sort of short story about their life as everyone has done interesting things and had life experiences that other people would be interested in.
I hope everyone has enjoyed this small slice of my life.
p.s. I really enjoyed writing the short stories about 'The Vanishing People'. It was a lot of fun.
