After selling OEX for a small profit, I've bought 200,000 AQD at an average of 15.5c (30,00 yesterday and the rest today).
What I like about AQD is its high cash levels (around $28 million by end of the Mar Quarter) and its vast array of promising projects.
Further encouraging results from the Rocklea Iron Ore Project (75% owned) were announced today including 26m at 55.99% Fe. The channel mineralisation remains open to the east. A revised resource est. is expected to be completed in the Sep Quarter. The current inferred resource is 37.6M at 53.2% Fe.
AQD has also commenced manganese drilling at the promising Table Hill Project in WA.
High grade bedded manganese outcrops have been identified at Wolfe Project.
The Diamantina Project also looks interesting with 2 large IOCG style systems confirmed at Diamantina with high ave iron grades (15-20% Fe) returned over broad intersections.
I also like the strategic alliance with Cliffs Natural Resources who own 30%.
Hartleys have rated AQD as a Spec buy.
