Hey JSS, apologies regarding WGX. I did indeed get a few numbers mixed up. AIC should have been around $2000 AUD (with a small cash build).
Hopefully as I went through each company, I got more accurate!

I agree with you about the net cash, as it can change dramatically, yet have nothing to do with operational success. i.e.
RED5 raising almost $180m in cash over the past 18 months (they have a big cash pile currently)... but actually have made zero operationally, as its 1 old plant has had horrendously high AISC and AIC.

That being said, it is important to note the position.

I really like the net cash graph, with the growth. Perhaps if it was arranged in highest to lowest, it would enable others to quickly pick out the companies generating real free cashflow, versus, well.... those that are simply not making any money.
There is also the challenge of showing it in a way that is proportional to the companies market caps.

i.e. WAF was a clear winner, yet.. proportionally, they had free cashflow of approx 5% of their market ap.
GCY saw its cash position increase by around 8% of its market cap.
GOR saw its cash position increase by 1.7%
    SLR saw.... 0.5%.
    etc.

Most of the time, I don't record all this in a spreadsheet, as I sort of just follow the stocks I hold so closely, that well, I remember it.
I only dig extra deep when I think I would enter a stock, or just watch train wrecks like WGX.

Keep up the great work JSS.

@bluethunder - not trying to shake you out of WGX. I hold a small position, as I view it as a real play on a higher POG. It has an awful lot of gold, and has ploughed an insane amount of money into its businesses for the last 5 years. I believe it is close to finally... ending the capex phase.
