re: oil future prices (ian) The questions with Yukos is
(a) who owns it, and
(b) whether Russians are allowed to politically oppose the President without the State coming down on their heads like a ton of bricks.
Neither of these affects the actual means of production, distribution or exchange currently owned by Yukos ... any short-term production shortfall can be covered by other Russian oilers.
