I have never shorted a stock ever mate; and, do you know why?
Because I do not know how to.
Have no access or do not know where to find "shorter info" and do not really want to know.
If you have such info, well then, I guess you're right.
In the end, we're all in here to make money, whether it is LT, ST, day-trading or "shorting"!
