PUR's "Julimar Discovery" in Calingiri East?, page-1411

You seem to be correct (I think) Horizon, I had been under the assumption from maps I had seen that the State Forest (Julimar) finished further south than our cross shaped lease.

So it is forest but not whats classified as Julimar forest....... yet it seems to be a continuation of a forest adjoining it (Julimar).

Its too late for me to ring the family expert on Forests (every family needs one) but if nobody works out what the bloody great bit of bush we back onto is by later tomorrow I will call him and find out.

It just doesnt look like private land to me because a block of uncleared forest that big so close to the Perth metro is hard to imagine these days.

Regardless (unless its Pinus Radiata forest which could be privately owned) if it is native forest it won't be as easy to explore or exploit as cleared land.
If its Radiata, (pine plantation) well nobody gives a shit about that, common as muck with virtually no life other than pine trees.

If it is native there are strong conservation laws be it privately owned or not.

But it doesnt matter to PUR and the commercial potential of that lease, its only a narrow strip at most and on an outside edge.

No Pens you know how bureaucracy works, it would take probably nearly as long to get a permit to scout drill a 100 acres of forest for example as it would to get permission to drill 1000 acres of forest.

Think when you get permission to build a house its not quicker to get all the permits to build a small house than it is a big house.

Bureaucracy goes one speed for all...slow! Ha ha!

But if that little patch is all the forest we have on our leases well as much as I love forest, well its happy days.

Goyder is promising non invasive small footprint drilling/drill rigs as a sweetener to get into Julimar Forest.

As I written before there is barely a tree left standing as you head further east so as seen on CVVs announcement photos today Cal East will be mostly just one sweeping barren plain.

But not barren below the surface..
