This was at $3.27 in October last year and rightfully so, for it to be trading up at these levels around $5 is absolutely absurd and to have an extremely unrealistic view of the situation.

Qanatas is bleeding money, they need full planes to be profitable.

Planes grounded means massive expenditure with no income.

This is a money losing machine and there is no future that will get this fleet in the air at full capacitiy.

Now we are seeing commodities prices blow out many up 20% or more including Oil which is a huge increase for aviation..

Qantas is simply target for a short.. no profits, no dividends, a outlook that if we are honest.. we know this company is in extremely financial danger but the saving grace is the goverment will intervene when it gets to zombie debt level.. that is the floor... but who wants to invest in a zombie stock?

I expect another test under $4 this year, but really the demand / supply varaiables and eventual downgrading of assets and outlook will flow through to sentiment and stock price..

Great stock to short right now.. i dont short, but i know industries that are doomed, i am all in on the commodities super cycle.. inflation means households will find travel less affordable if they still have an epitite to go to an airport or use any kind of public transport.

Tourism? Internatonal Students? Immigration? Covid-19? = Cruise ships are obviously the worst, then travel and accommodations.. all are in a terrible / hopeless situation and being Government imposed there is nothing to do but Roll-over.
