be aware its not all plain sailing .you have to do a tax return each year on smsf and it has to be audited independantly $500 plus gst all bills for smsf must be paid from smsf if you are 100% invested you have to sell stocks to pay .i started with com ....c who promised 2 years free tax returns i had a DHA investment house which i could not put in smsf and they were un able and unwilling to advise how to put my my DHA income and expenses in my tax returns . it was not in FAQ and no help available i had to sack them go back to old accountant who had big smile on face $250 hr ka ching
