In the days when one feels like dying through a thousand paper cuts, it is useful to examine one's initial investment thesis. Our human brains are not built to deal well with uncertainty and therefore often get triggered into rash decisions, which are based on fear or anger.

My investment thesis in Mesoblast is based on long term holding and not short or medium term wealth generation. By long term I mean at least 10 years. I rarely trade and only invest in disruptive future oriented technology. Two of those technologies (crypto & rare metals) have by now paid off - crypto will be exited by years end, whilst the investment horizon for rare metals is at least 10 years. My goal and thesis is, that I could live of dividends by the time I retire. So far nothing has changed my mind or perspective. Add to that, that I firmly believe that the science works, which is regularly proven. My only reason to exit this particular stock would be, if signs emerge that the science is faulty.

With this in mind, I sleep well, am not bothered by the daily price movements and white noise. Most importantly I don't get triggered into rash decisions. Well it even gets better, this state of mind allows me to enjoy the things in life I really enjoy like working, sharing ideas, socializing with friends, spending time with my family, marveling at nature, reading good books and watching great movies, watch football whilst drinking craft beer etc. etc. the list goes on forever.

Whilst I enjoy myself, the scientist at Mesoblast (and elsewhere) revolutionize the way we treat and deal with terrible illnesses. This revolution can be seen in my field of work too. It is only 50 years ago, that children and adults were lobotomized for minor issues (even Rosmary Kennedy the sister of JFK), something unthinkable nowadays. I am confident, that we will say the same about Mesoblast in 10-20 years.

Of course everybody's investment thesis and circumstances are different. Take @Cato for example who "changes" his mind 87 times a minute, which is 1.45 times a second. He will have different parameters to work with, his decision making process is different and his starting and endpoints will be different to mine (I consider myself the turtle in this race to success). Each of us has to work out what suits him/her best, but it pays to go back to the roots every now and then, and make sure "the house is still in order". The foundation of my house are still in order.

P.S. I did buy some more yesterday.
