I believe margin lenders have a limit for each share that they will lend on. ie once share xyz reaches say 2% of their loan book,they refuse to lend anymore on that share. Keeps their loan book from becoming severly unbalanced. Discovered this when i questioned comsec why CPb(campbell bros) was not on their list of available shares for margin lending. This was in 2006 & cpb was $30 odd dollars and an A class share.
Absence from a margin list may have nothing to do with share viability
