Corporate Daigus are not anything like Student nor Shonky Mum nad Dad businesses you see raiding supermarket shelfs.
Corporate Daigus are registered and operate as an legit company and buys from distis ie pay income tax, corporate tax, payroll tax, stamp duty, super etc etc.
Furthermore Corproate Daigus are also registered in China and pay official duties and customs. Therefore the price they sell into China is only marginally cheaper than official channels.
A student or shonky mum and dad daigus pays zero tax what so ever, so they can sell into China for a bigger "worthwile" discount so popular in China
Also a million Chinese tourist a month pre-covid also bought few cans each when returning as gifts -> this trade is not returning until Labour wins and thats a maybe
Working with corprate Daigus will not greatly increase sales.
The thing is by June 2020 the management should have realised Covid and Anti China sentiment was not a temporary set back.
Of course A2M in NZ might not be effected by Chinese Government anger but NZ is unlikely open its borders anythime soon either so, they arein the same sinking ship as far as dodgy daigu trade.
