No, its actually true.
You can talk to many Tibetans. Despite what the West narrative has been, you are NOT followed in Tibet and you can talk to any Tibetan when you are there. They will tell you they were enslaved. They will show you where they lived, eat and work, in their master's property.
There are plenty of old Western text books (if you don't believe in the Chinese ones).
