We don't really know why the CEO bought at $5.
Do we know the behind the scenes play?
Could it been part of a handshake? Remember who the big backer in this stock still is? What is $500k relative to multiple billions in market cap.
Plenty of ways to hedge that $500k purchase, that sends a 'signal' to the market, is legal, and the CEO's personal position is protected (ie CEO is not actually out of pocket, if the purchase goes sour).
Guys think outside the square on these issues.
