guttedsquid: As I mentioned quite some time ago, there must have been a substantial number of traders that jumped onto ITC for a quick uplift - they now want to lock-in the profits they have made from 3c to now and not face any possible risk with a potential negative outcome of this drill...
Personally, I cannot understand at all why anybody would sell at this stage. As you so correctly mention, the (yet to come) increased production update announcement alone should stabilize the sp of ITC around current levels.
