It would seem that Investment funds get Relief (preferential treatment) to an extent, but the Board needs approval from ASIC for the process to be allowed?
Also there are further rules for funds attaining 5% or more holdings, in that the position cannot be used to frustrate a takeover bid, for example.

Well I see some points that make me feel uneasy:
Market manipulation has clearly been in play.
Preferential treatment above that of ordinary shareholders whilst the accumulation is in play.
Directors off-market selling of shares when they were party to privileged information.
