Great to read the Company Update this week. I have been enjoying working through the list of 19 new suppliers and researching their products, and it is nice to note the range of regions, scale, and supplier-status' (producers/importers/wine clubs/distributors/wholesalers) that we are signing up over time.
Also, just to reiterate a point that @steve10 made earlier in the week, our first month for this quarter (IE April) shows an impressive order growth when juxtaposed with the first month of last quarter (Jan). Combine this with the factors of seasonality differences (April typically shows a dip on March traffic: please view the historical DW8 and general industry figures for reference), and it is safe to say we have had a very nice start to this quarter. With the introduction of B2B that will traverse the status of being a trickle, to a stream, to a rivulet, to a river with seasonal waterfall junctions, and the implementation of the B2CWD portal and Insider Club this quarter, we can certainly expect some impressive quarter-on-quarter growth come July 4C reading time.
Regarding the liquor license we now have, this is significant news, and does signal a reasonably close launch of the Insider Trading Club and B2CWD portal (but in the spirit of being pleasantly surprised, I would recommend not expecting this for a few weeks/month and a half or so, perhaps longer). We don't need to set arbitrary ultimatums for ourselves with these things, despite the penchants of the human psyche in this regard.
Regarding Insider Trading Club pre-registration, I am in agreement with some others that it would be prudent to implement a customised signup form with explicit directions on the digitalwine.ventures site, and to this end I have had an exchange with Dean last night regarding this. I expect we will see a more direct route to sign-up in the near future. I am not in the business of admonishing CEO's, and I have no special relationship with D.T, but I do believe in reaching out and trying to help where one can.
In this spirit I have also brought to Dean's attention a spelling mistake on the current WD site. I mention it here not to highlight 'errors' per se, but to relieve any rumination from individuals who have also spotted it, as it will be actioned for correction fairly soon I imagine.
