Few of the other threads talk about the 'shorters'. This may be a silly question (but I have invested into MSB for the long term so not sure how the action of shorts/shorter affect the long term SP): Do the number of shorters affect the SP? my understanding is that when a trader takes a short position on a stock they are hoping that the SP is going to sink and thus they will make a win on that short position. Is having many shorters in the MSB scene healthy and if so how so? with positive announcements (hopefully) in the future, the SP would be expected to rise, but would that rise be further escalated with more shorters (who need to bail an close their positions) OR with less shorters. OR it does not matter to a long term holder the effect of shorters on a stock?
