The really bad ones are on their way out and most rational people understand that there is a transition period that ensures dispatchable power is available until the least bad types are reliable. Investors in PEP11 recognise that gas is the transition feedstock that will enable coal fired power stations to be closed while new technology reaches maturity. In the transition period, CO2 will be captured and stored as part of 2050 targets.
