    yes, biogas from waste is going to be the ultimate solution imo. Gathering food waste etc and processing for gas and/or producing algae for oil seems like an obvious pursuit. China have loads of biodigesters at work providing gas from animal waste in a crude format/non pressurised format for cooking.

    Advancing upon this theme Id imagine you could route sewage, food waste and other organics into your biodigester and compliment the gas supply to your fuel cell perhaps routing any excess heat back into the digestor to hurry things along.

    Thats something I was meaning to attempt personally should circumstances have permitted.
