Copyu is not native to Italy - it is a South American rodent but can be now found in most European countries
So why aren't you pointing the finger at the other countries?
Did copyu become a delicacy in Italy after the Chinese arrived?
I lived in Italy for 10 years - north and south - and the ''nutria'' (copyu) was never regarded as a delicacy or something you would put on a plate. It is not a food you would find in a supermarket. It is an animal you would find near rivers or sewerages.
Italians have better taste than to eat sewer rats.
Maybe you've been reading a bit of propaganda put out by the Chinese to take some of the heat off them.
