I tend to agree with you both, globally discovered pipeline and scientific team as well as clinical trials, both here & OS in populations that have the most risk (ie Asia for Gastric Ca). IMU is already an ‘International company’, with an Australian ‘home base’ & as others have said support from Australian investors & taxpayers. Has this changed recently with International investment?
If you also believe that combo therapy is the future in Immuno-Oncology, & looking at the current pipeline in the clinic (plus other IP) & currently where the needs are globally, you can envisage that there may be multiple International licensing deals to cover the population on successful clinical trials & regulatory approvals.
We are seeing these collaborations more commonly now, including between Big Pharmas (to cover global populations) in unmet clinical needs. Competitors become collaborators.

All for Govt support, but not for “Happy Clapping” hands to be involved with what I believe to be a well managed company. Future discovery & patents from IMU may benefit from “the patent box” announced in the 2021 Budget:

Look at NDIS, look at the Royal Commission into Aged Care.
In case people don’t understand the link between a Cancer Dx, RACFs (Nursing Homes) & Palliative Care, a lot of patients who have disability from cancer go to Aged Care when their family can no longer care for them at home & life expectancy goes beyond a few weeks.
We have experienced this & I’m sorry to say had to be proactive & an advocate for inadequate care & palliative symptom control in a private RACF where Palliative Care Clinical Nurse Consultants were meant to be visiting. In the end, It got to a point where I was advising on my own family member (inappropriate), I was receiving distressed phone calls all the time of fitting etc. Why are care providers outside of Palliative Care Units so scared to provide adequate symptom management in someone who is actively fitting & dying with terminal Glioblastoma, I will never know...The nursing staff there were wonderful, but needed more Medical support also. Syringe Driver should have been instigated prior, had to be a bit ‘antagonistic’ to have to get medical support there that day, & you shouldn’t have to feel that way in such a difficult time.
The GOVT haven’t looked after our most vulnerable, in Cancer (let’s look at PBS approvals for high cost drugs) Aged Care & Disability (NDIS), why would you want them anywhere near IMU?
