For some time, in 2007, I informed myself about the Lundin group and in particular one of the two brothers Lucas Lundin, who took the reigns over from his father Adolf, who past away about two years ago.
He had an unbelievable ability to pick winners, which he put in shell companies, developed them in valuable assts and then sold them for a generous reward, thus creating a big loyal shareholder following over the years.
This was, imho, also his plan when he looked at Puntland and created the AOI shell. His only problem was that this area was already stitched up by Range Resources.
IMHO, the relationship with Range has soured over time once they became aware of the suspect personalities involved with the Range top.
Here is a very professional outfit, having to deal with a minor, who has no claim to fame previously and which had, as they later discovered, people involved, who's intentions had nothing to do with the job on hand, rather with their snouts in the trough.
Everyone who has followed Range since 2005 will remember all the issues we had to deal with.
Very early in the relationship with Range, AOI followers from way back made comments, on the Stockhouse forum, saying, that AOI would never put a drill in the sand during the contract period with Range. Brantley, others and myself laughed at them.
The successes the Lundins had with picking winners over the years, made me invest in AOI in 2007, while I also was invested in Range.
However, a few weeks ago, I left the RRS's share register, disappointed in a company, which initially was run by people with different motives, asking the shareholders repeatedly for more money.
The new management might be OK, but I feel. that for AOI the damage was done well before that time.
To deal with corruption in an undeveloped area such as Puntland is one thing, but signing a contract with a company in good faith, which later shows to be associated and manipulated by underworld figures, is quite another.
I feel now more comfortable with AOI, as they widened their horizon were the odds are more favorable.

I also wish everybody well with this investment.
