Basically no argument there with points 1, 3 &4 other than perhaps the scale and timing. As to point 2 :
Perhaps not however, just as a thought bubble how about the fact that it is technology that is driving blockchain that in turn is enabling China to look at a gold backed crypto - my wild guess is that the money men of the west will not want to see China corner the physical market so perhaps the ultimate price rise will come about primarily because of that fact. Nothing like dumping a bunch of gold bars on to the (selective client) market to drop the price rapidly and so disturb the rating of an unwanted crypto ? I'm sure the fair minded Wall St boys would never have such a dastardly thought
