I also think if you have a short position, you still have a position. Even if you have an "anti-position". However when you mark position - the header data has disclosure: stock held - which is wide of the mark. So I think it is best if it is made clear in the first post on a thread (although I always expect a negative position on a stock highlights the likelihood of a short position).

I've been marking position, strong sell and making a note in the first post on any thread that I was short. (At least I hope I have - my only recent short on HC has been a recent paired trade short BHP long RIO).

Anyway - I think its fun seeing both sides. So good luck to shorters - especially from here, where it seems to me to be a bit more dicey than at above 40 cents.
