Given the mass protests over the last year in Chile the new Constitution will more then likely look to distribute the countries wealth more evenly,
this will almost definitely impact Copper taxation given its significance in Chile's economy.
The irony is higher taxation may look good as a short term solution for the people but will undoubtedly effect future investments in the Chilean copper industry, especially for the lower grade projects that work on slimmer margins, and over the longer term will have a negative effect on the overall economy.
History shows left wing policies never have a lasting positive impact on the wealth of the people.
