RRS Brisbane Tuesday 18th May
A packed house of 220 people with an additional 50 on the waiting list who missed out.
There were three other presentations.
Interesting that RRS are now advertising a 2 day session at Gold Coast 12-13th October. GRV is listed as a participant. (GRV should be flying high by then!!)
NB's presentation followed very closely the slide show issued by the company on Tuesday morning. The company has said that it contained no new information. In fact apart from capital raising, we haven't seen any announcements since February/March other than the Quarterly report.
I took a few notes throughout NB's presentation looking for highlights. Firstly Alpha;
Georgina;
- NB left little doubt in my mind that this project will proceed, and will be highly successful and rewarding for shareholders.
- He stated that we are moving straight to a DFS (ie there will be no PFS)which I thought was very positive. I think we will see this "in the next 2-3 months". There was no mention of the June quarter JORC timeline announced some time ago.
- H e emphasised the rising market demand for bitumen due to Govt sponsored infrastructure projects coming up soon and a corresponding increase in bitumen pricing. He was very bullish on these matters.
- He was also very bullish about activated carbon.
I came away feeling that Alpha is well advanced and is a Fait Accompli. Georgina will kick off over the next 2-3 months with the drilling program. Exciting times ahead!
- Interesting, he stated that Georgina, not Alpha, is likely to be GRV's major project. Wow!!
- He was obviously excited when discussing the "high-mag bullseye targets" EL32282-32296. These are both highly prospective, and there are several other target areas to explore.
- He also emphasised the similarities between GRV's exploration ground and the already proven Tenant Creek ground not far away. Great excitement about this !
- He said that the drilling team will be finishing up at Alpha very soon then moving across to commence drilling the bullseye targets at Georgina.
- He discussed the geology of the core samples from the National Drilling Initiative which came across as positive (but too technical for me)
