    Religions are very big on self promotion

    Yes! Politics and false religion finds their roots from the time of Nimrod. Of him the Bible says: “He made the start in becoming a mighty one in the earth. He displayed himself a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah. . . . The beginning of his kingdom came to be Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. Out of that land he went forth into Assyria and set himself to building Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah.”—Genesis 10:8-11.
    His aim to which he sought to rally the people can be found in what was said.
    (Genesis 11:4) They now said: “Come! Let us build a city for ourselves and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a celebrated name for ourselves, so that we will not be scattered over the entire face of the earth.”

    This can be contrasted with what Jesus said genuine disciples should pray for.
    (Matthew 6:9) “You must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.

    How many religions are there that make the sanctification of God's name their principle aim?
