I'm interested in this idea that Australian manganese (or tungsten or whatever) is more valuable than international equivalents for political or security reasons. Is there any current case where a mineral mined in Australia commands a price premium to the same mineral mined elsewhere? For example I don't see any index of iron ore prices that has one figure for Australian iron ore and another for Chinese or Indian or whatever ore.
