I can remember the days when you had to be brave to ask for a white wine in a pub. Those were the days when wharf labourers would down at least half a dozen schooners in their lunch break. Do they still sell schooners? Haven't been in a pub for years.
But I digress.
Back in the day, a popular white was a White Burgundy. I am currently enjoying a white Bordeaux from France, which I guess is the same thing.

I'm a white wine drinker these days, still have a cold beer on a hot day but... Savy blonk is my go, Marlborough NZ.

Do not like chardonnay , ABC "anything but chard " Riesling = too sweet.

Actually white wine is transparent wine, milk is white
