That is a load of codswallop ..
I know many many successful engineering, mining and oil/gas companies that have directors and the CEO that were engineers. They were extremely successful companies, and the CEOs were very successful in their own right.
Your are generalising in your own experiences, and although you are no doubt being truthful and just stating it as you see it, your view does not correspond with what is actuality.
Respect to you, but don’t bash an engineer. They have all the attributes of vision and work ethic to be successful in their chosen paths.
