    Heya

It’s very common for wells to produce sand at times. Usually as stated from flowing too hard which over extended periods can cause erosion problems, particularly if the equipment was not designed with this is mind.

In my experience you obviously want to optimise production as much as possible which take you towards your operating limit. When sand detection is encountered first response is to back off on your well, so as not to flow so hard. Hence reducing sand production.

However during well clean up, when a well is flowed for the first time, returns of some types are often encountered and expected. For what ever reason sand was not anticipated to be an issue on this occasion.

    Turns out it is.

There could be an issue with the completion design or its installation or simply the well clean up campaign needs to be completed with the aid of the newly sourced sand handling package,( which sound impressive! Thanks Ebit).

Strike have a very good team and will work through this. Good buying at the moment!

    Have a good weekend
