Tell you a quick story, I did a lotto syndicate about 5 years ago. The place that I used to work, we had about 300 staffs. I got 40 people went into this syndicate, you know how the OZ lotto always have one jackpot every 6 months, so about Sept that year, I started up a pool and had the payroll to take 40 people $40 a week. At the end of the year, we had $20800, and we bought a system 19, I think the ticket was about $19k at the time. We actually shopped around a few newsagents, coz just the comm. alone I remember was like $1000. We got one newsagent willing to neg and for us to spend $19k cash at his store he gave us $500 worth of scratches (we didn't win much from the scratches.) But I never forgot the night of the draw. One number at a time, we got 2nd division. I remember the 1st prize was $30mil, and second prize was around $6mil at the time...I had a party at my house while we watch the draw, there were about 20 of us. We rang everyone, drunk, laughter, tears of joy, lots of hugging and kisses...then the next morning...the sad news came...there were 521 winners on the 2nd division...... $6mil divided by 512people and then another 40......lucky it was a system 19(they pay more), so we got about $2500 each at the end...
