As always, these journalists need to refresh their high school physics.
Batteries are rated in MWh NOT MW. A battery is a storage of energy, not a producer. Therefore it's capacity is the amount of energy it can store when fully charged. The unit of measurement for energy is MWh. A generators on the other hand, is rated in MW, which is the measure of POWER or the amount of energy it can generate per unit of time.
It is very misleading to say that the battery is 100MW - only a generator that can produce 100MWh of energy per hour is rated 100MW. The battery on the other hand, when fully charged may have 100MWh of energy stored - if it were to be consumed at the same rate that a 100MW generator is producing, it will only last 1 hour...
