On vmware, I assume this is the software that allows enterprise clients to centralise onto a server and provide virtual machines for their users who then only need a skinny desktop.....my understanding is that most enterprise clients are going/have gone down this path.
Would this be recorded under software, and presumably an annual license? Arguably if this is the case, then this should be on a higher margin than their hardware.
Do we know if they won this contract from another distributor or whether VMware were selling direct to clients in Australia prior to this distribution agreement?
