I have just sent the following email to the company...
"I would like to point out that yesterday's announcement about DRD Gold's offer has lead to considerable confusion among your shareholders, myself.included. Mintails was the second-most discussed stock on the Hotcopper shares discussion forum yesterday, with all talk centred on how to interpret the ambiguous announcement. Some said that the announcement revealed the offer price - the 30 day VWAP, and others said that the offer has not yet been revealed. Even financial journalists are divided - an article in the Business Spectator stated that the offer was around 5.5c, whereas an article on Bloomberg said that the offer has not yet been revealed.
I think that management owe it to their shareholders to clear up the confusion. Please issue another announcement as soon as possible which clearly states the offer price - or, failing that, at least tell investors whether or not the offer is just the 30-day volume weighted average price of Mintails (minus WWI), converted to DRD shares."
