A simple 12 period ma on monthly close on SPX has been a great long term switch.

Only 3 on the chart and the great thing was each was close to the ma so no big counter move risk.

Not much room this time, so a break or no?

Can't always be this neat and a whipsaw must come some time.

Perhaps if I get my August 8 low of 99 up 56 down or 155 from low to low, we can get a bounce into Sep before the real rot sets in and yet not violate the ma on a close basis.

Interesting we had a low of 666 and last weeks low was 888. Maybe we even see 999 intra month some time.
