2. I would have assumed it would have been the tree trunks and roots above a certain diameter (maybe above 150-200mm). You can't just buy heartwood. Logistically impossible to separate sapwood from heartwood without any loss of heartwood in the discarded sapwood component. I would contact the company for clarification. I am assuming that quoted price of $7000/t was in A$ terms also.
3. Also the buyer of the timber was either TFC themselves or FPC. You would once again need to check with management assuming they are willing to disclose. Could also ask if by chance they took any core samples from the harvested trees. Would surely have represented a fantastic opportunity to see how oil formation is tracking (ie is it as forecast to investors?).
