bmac10 - re metastock....my two main projects at the moment are a volume/breakout/Money Flow/MACD scan to pick up candidates of interest, also trying to sort out the best Darvas Box formula for metastock. The several versions I have been able to find online all seem to give wildly different results....
Just out of interest, what would you rceommend as the volume part of a scan indicator to pick up breakouts? At the moment I'm using daily volume >3X the 31 day MA (largely arrived at by trial and error). Is a shorter period MA a better idea, or will it just give too many false indications?
