The consensus forecasts on NUF are just valuation based....we know 09 NPAT will be in the range of $180-$190m....you'd expect modest growth off that in 10 given the organic/acquisition growth helping offset weakness on Roundup.
So currently trading at at 10 times NPAT.....sector average is more like 13....that 30% difference seems to account for gap to broker targets.
Historically NUF has been been trading well above 13 at times.
Certainly 10 seems very low given the medium/longer term outlook for growth. IMO the 12 month target price consensus of circa $12 looks quite reasonable.
