Where to now for long term investors of Telstra, page-11294

Again it appears the nbn agreement was badly negotiated by tls.Lets forget the nbn headwinds that no one including the past and current tls ceo understood would destroy tls's profit by 50%.
Now imo only due to lack of foresight tls did not negotiate a positive outcome for the $270m USO the govt pays tls to maintain regional fixed infrastructure.
Tls has spent billions on regional australia,billions on tendering for blackspot (non economic) mobile tower contruction.
Imo everytime tls tendered for a black spot location they should have asked for compensation ie reduced tender price countered by reducing govt $270m USO.
Now penn is left with the govt paying tls $270m pa for USO and now govt wants it extended from fixed to mobile.
$270m pa is serious money paid from govt to tls,I would have thought tls managements would have thought lets plan for a complete seperation from any type of govt excuse to go after tls,no now the govt is going after tls mobile after imo only tls has invested more in the bush thru mobile than the other 2 telcos combined.

ps and just to appeal to the greenies,now that tls will be selling gas,sry JC but red energy stands out again as an obvious acquistion by tls ie red energy's assets both renewable and their victorian gas assets now combined with the hunter valley gas plant .The acquisition price should include a negotiated way out of the stupid USO agreement which was always going to come back to bite tls holders.
