company execs on hc

Interesting thread, seems that HC is initiating a rather interesting Idea, something about having company representatives posting on HC.....read about it in following link....well what do ya know? seems the idea wasn't so ridiculous after all....

Hi All,
We are introducing a new feature on HotCopper to allow company representatives to be authenticated and then labelled on HotCopper as a company representative.

In summary, if a company gives authorisation for somebody to represent them on HotCopper, we will add a label next to their username to indicate that they represent that company.

The idea behind this is to make it clear for other members that this member really is who they say they are and is authorised to represent the company. It also removes any doubt that the representative is disclosing their association with the company and allows them the comfort that they have disclosed appropriately. We hope it will encourage more company representatives to post on HotCopper and provide "official" input on discussions.
