The frustration mounts for INR and we can all see why.

I didnt actually realise this until earlier this week when I re-reviewed the propagation attempts under the Buckwheat conservation plan. INR funding Nevada based researchers. The research came back inconclusive in the end results because of the herbivore activity in Sept. My understanding was that the research was conducted after this event. But it was this event that Donnelly and CBD made out that INR was the "alleged culprit".

So imagine the above for a second. You have been having CBD and others take a look at your operations. You actively spend money on trying to protect the species and an unexpected incident occurs that destroys your research. Then not only do you lose the research data but to be accused by CBD as being the "alleged culprit" is just a massively low blow.

Its basically being punished for doing the right thing.

My attention would then turn to the CBD for a number of reasons:

1) Why have you stirred up this hogwash
2) If INR had finished its research and it was positive for the company who has something to lose here?

Perhaps Donnelly and the CBD are correct. The event could have been "human" but it does beg the question perhaps the CBDs agenda was being squashed by this scientific research and they may have taken things into their own hands.
