The submission which I made to the NTEPA detailed a few of the technologies TNG have access to as part of their association with SMS Siemag.
It shows how with TIVAN technology, mining can be reduced as less tonnage of ore is required to produce the same amount of end product - namely 3 product streams.
Also how ZLD results in drastically reduced water demand for industrial process over equivalent processes & no local liquid environmental discharges.
Finally it details how there are significant plans for metallurgical coal mines in Australia destined for the export market. That these will result in large increases in CO2 emissions. That SMS & TNG have publicly released information on their commitment to development of Hydrogen for use in the TIVAN process & also Direct Reduction of Iron.
IOW the successful deployment of DRI processes using Green hydrogen will potentially reduce the need for an expanded Metallurgical Coal sector.
Finally, a link to TNG's proposed VRFB business - ie a way to store clean energy & get off fossil fuels.
I'm from East Gippsland, Climate Change contributed to the destruction of vast swathes of 'wildlife corridors' right along the Eastern Seaboard about 2 years ago. Terrifying kids & the elderly who were forced to evacuate towns from Bairnsdale to Eden.
Any technology which has the potential to be scaled industrially & that's the only way we'll do it, which can reduce CO2 emissions from the way we do things now, deserves better than how the ECNT & NTEPA have treated TNG.
I won't write the NT Government but please read my submission when they publish it.
Who'd have ever thought delaying taking action on climate change would have come from this direction?
