Below is Viralytics price history and volume. 21/02/2018 was when Merck and Viralytics announced the acquisition agreement. 4 trading days prior, there was substantial build up of volume, approx. 90-100 times bigger than the preceding average monthly volume.
For IMU, volumes like today is similar in proportion to VLA back then and they just don't happen for no reason, even if it land on a pay day/pension day for retails investors. As @dappaT suggested, something else is afoot...
